"In a world that is completely 2D... One guy will stop the evil that is in it... And that guy is... Not in this comic book at all.
This comic is about a different guy... A guy that is... Hopeless..."
Woo. You probably can't read all the text (the scanner scans really tiny), but this is the intro scene for the ORIGINAL ISHARA MANGA!!!!!!1
This work, while totally klitchy+/-lame was truly the best work I had ever done. Despite the horrible sci-fi storyline, some of my best comedy - no pun intended - can be seen here, even in the most serious* of scenes.
I've already scanned nearly 908 pages of stuff till now, and I've scanned half of the IC Manga. Once I scan the other half (about 14 24-page books), I'll be done with that gigantumoungus box of paper. The file size of my entire comic folder has almost reached the 100 MB mark, clearly showing that I've had way too much free time in the past. Plus, it's the biggest folder I have in my personal backup files.
One more day in the library should do it for me. I can't wait. Then I get to edit them all!
Thank goodness I'm almost done. The scanning isn't really the traumatizing part... it's having to sit in front of that horrid Mac that kills me. XD
I've only got 14 more books to scan, which means 13 scans per book which means 182 more image files. Then I'm done. I'm so fast now, I could probably do it in about eighty minutes.
Once I have them all digitized, I'm going turn off my computer and go for a much-needed walk to remind myself that there's still a 'real world'. My head hurts and I'm dreaming in binary again.

"What do you mean, I can't initialize things in an assert()?"
"I hate these Microsoft guys! What a rotten compiler! It only accepts 16,384 local variables in a function!"
Lol, poor you. XD; Aww, Macs aren't that bad. Unless you're a programmer. Or someone who cares if their files get deleted. ...but it's SHINY!!! *pizazz*

Linux is 100% customizable and shiny. Will even learned how to hack the window manager and totally customized his interface (it's shinier than Vista, now).
The visual interface itself is kinda like its own programming language. If you can figure it out, you can make your desktop do anything anything. With Linux, maybe now I *can* program a ham sandwich...
... even though technically, GNOME is doing all the work... *trails off*

Of course, that's probably not too bad of a situation, since I'm hardly willing to sacrifice the disk space needed to save over 1000 hi-rez images.
